FAQs

Do I need any prior experience to take the course?
Yes, absolutely. Baristaneer offers courses designed for complete beginners. You will start by building a solid understanding of the fundamentals before progressing to hands-on practice. No prior coffee knowledge or experience is required. Our Foundation-level courses are specifically designed to provide a strong foundation, taking you from the basics and preparing you to progress confidently to more advanced courses.
“I’m planning to open a coffee shop. Which course should I take?”
Whether you plan to work as a barista yourself or already have a team of baristas but want to better understand and maintain coffee quality, we recommend starting with our Barista course.

In this course, you will learn how to prepare espresso, adjust and calibrate the grinder, understand espresso extraction and evaluate espresso shots, as well as milk steaming and latte art. You will also learn an efficient bar workflow to help you work confidently and systematically in a real café environment.

“What time does the course start and finish, and where is the coffee venue?”
The course runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Baristaneer Coffee Academy, Mae Rim, Chiang Mai.
“I already have barista experience. Which course should I take?”
If you already have a solid foundation and professional barista experience, you may enroll directly in an Intermediate-level course without starting at the Foundation level.

However, if you skip the Foundation course and certification, you will not receive the corresponding Foundation certificate. This may affect the credits or requirements needed toward an SCA Diploma. If your long-term goal is to pursue an SCA Diploma, we recommend planning your learning pathway before enrolling.
